Presenting our annual Islam Awareness Month!! A series of talks and events designed to help people gain a better understanding of Islam and Muslims. We are excited to host some of the most knowledgeable and well-known speakers this month, as well as humanitarian and activity-based campus events for an enriching, dynamic, and educational experience. Mark your calendars and check for continuing updates!

You are invited to attend an important and informative colloquium sponsored by the Clinical Psychology Program:
“Understanding Islam: Reality and Misconception”
Presenter: Dr. Mohammed Ali Hazratji has been a practicing neurologist in the Pioneer Valley for the last 30 years. He has served as president of the Islamic Society of Western Massachusetts in West Springfield and of the Hampshire Mosque in Amherst. He has been active in interfaith activities, refugee medical relief work overseas, refugee resettlement programs, and programs for peace and understanding among people. Dr. Ali has lectured on various Islamic issues in western Massachusetts high schools and colleges including Mount Holyoke, Amherst College, Smith, and UMass.
