Let’s Measure Success…

Assalamu Alaikum,

We have almost reached the end of October now and the semester has been wrapping us all up in a torpedo of work, work, and MSA events! Alhamdullillah, we are so glad that our little community has grown and new friends have been made and continue to be made.

We have had a multitude of events thus far such as the following:

  • MSA Welcome Back
  • Halaqah About Satan/Shaytan
  • Ice Cream Social Night
  • General Body Meetings
  • Halaqah About Death and the Grave
  • Freshman Social Night
  • Bowling Night

Alhamdullillah, we have had great turn-outs for all the events and we apologize if you were unable to attend. However, there is much more planned for the rest of the semester. We have the Annual MSA Eid Dinner this SATURDAY October, 26th at 6:30PM at the Campus Center Auditorium (located down the escalators).

Many MSA members have been and are still becoming more and more involved in making this large event a HUGE success (insha’Allah!) and we couldn’t me more proud or thankful for all your help MSA members! That’s a shout out for ya’ll!

If you would like to volunteer and help out with the event, please do so. We need the man-power so that this student run event turns out well. In the past, the MSA was awarded for having the most successful student run event of the year and our goal is to make it happen again, insha’Allah.

BUT we can only do it with your help. So send any of the MSA board members an email and let them know whether you would like to help with catering (serving food at dinner [aka scooping food onto guests’ plates]) or with ushering (politely and respectfully taking our guests to a table in the auditorium). We still need more help with both these committees.

Our plans for the event cannot be posted online (we want to surprise and impress our guests!), but it will be filled with inspiring speeches, festive Nasheeds (it is the Eid Dinner), and great company and food. So invite all your friends and family regardless of their beliefs or religion. It’ll be a great night, God willing.

Last but not least, the event is formal…so it’s time to throw aside your comfy everyday outfits and bring out your beautiful clothes and dress up!

Looking forward to seeing you all work together to make this one of the best years since the MSA was founded!

Jazakum Allahu Khairan (Thank you),
